Licensed Mental Health Professional

MHP duties at Liberty Place include:

  • Meets with each resident daily (16 residents) and assists with implementing the individualized behavior support plan.

  • Charting on each resident daily (mitigations, responses, changes, outcomes, challenges).

  • Coordinates with community providers and supports.

  • Participates in the development of activities to assist the resident in social skills development both in the facility and in the community.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass background check and fingerprinting per WA State DSHS requirements.

  • Active, non-restricted license in state of WA.

  • Master’s degree relative to the position (licensed mental health counselor, licensed mental health counselor-associate, licensed independent clinical social worker, licensed independent clinical social worker-associate, licensed advanced social worker, licensed advanced social worker-associate; MSW w/ 2 years of relevant experience gained under the supervision of a mental health professional; psychiatric nurse; psychologist; (others may qualify under 71.05 RCW).

  • Must maintain good standing in credentialing.

  • Attend training in mental health, dementia, and developmentally disabled populations, and therapeutic options prior to first scheduled shift (provided by Liberty Place if not already completed)

  • Active Driver’s License

Pay:

$40.00 - $43.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 16 per week

Behavioral Health CNA/HCA
Now offering HCA classes on site to get you certified, ask us how!

What You’ll Do (Daily duties may vary by shift):

  • Assist residents at mealtimes

  • Provide toiletries upon request

  • Cue and support residents with hygiene routines

  • Drive residents to appointments and attend outings (valid driver’s license required)

  • Monitor smoke breaks and log hourly wellness checks

  • Maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards

  • Collaborate with nurses and mental health professionals on resident care

  • Attend monthly staff meetings

Requirements to Apply:

  • Must be 18 or older

  • Active CNA, HCA, or NAR (grandfathered in), -Ask us how to get certified through the company!

  • Complete required mental health, dementia, and DD population training (within 30 days - we provide it!)

  • CPR/First Aid Certification (obtain prior to start)

  • WA State Food Handler’s Permit (within 14 days of hire)

  • Clear DSHS background check (per state requirements)

  • On-site respirator fit testing (within 30 days of hire)
